The Valencian Agency for Evaluation and Foresight (AVAP) has taken an important step towards improving higher education in the region by participating in an important working session together with the nine universities of the Valencian Community. The main objective of this meeting was to establish a quality assurance system for the region’s own degrees, unifying criteria and guaranteeing high educational standards in all academic institutions.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the quality and continuing education units of the Valencian universities’ own degrees, which allowed for a constructive and enriching dialogue. The diversity of perspectives and shared experiences was key to the success of this initiative.
AVAP, committed to the promotion of academic excellence and educational quality, was represented by its Head of the Quality Service, Reyes Giner, who was accompanied by specialized technicians from the department. Their presence and active participation in the working session demonstrated the agency’s commitment to inter-institutional collaboration and its fundamental role in strengthening the Valencian education system.
During the meeting, topics such as the evaluation and accreditation of the agency’s own degree programs, as well as the implementation of mechanisms for the control and monitoring of the quality of these programs, were addressed. The ultimate goal is to establish a common framework to ensure the excellence and homogeneity of the degrees offered by Valencian universities, which will allow students to have a quality training and recognized nationally and internationally.
This joint initiative between AVAP and the nine Valencian universities represents a significant milestone in the field of higher education, as it will strengthen the reputation and prestige of the region’s academic institutions. It will also allow for greater transparency and confidence in the degrees offered, both for students and employers.
