AVAP is now a full member of INQAAHE, the International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education. This network is a worldwide association of more than 300 organizations that work to ensure quality higher education.
With this incorporation, the Valencian agency has taken a step forward in its internationalization process.
Together with ANECA, there are 6 Spanish agencies that are part of this International Network: ACPUA, Unibasq, ACU Catalunya, ACC, ACSUG and AVAP.
What is INQAAHE’s mission?
As explained on its website, INQAAHE is a QA (Quality Assurance) community, with shared interests, a common language and an understanding of how things are done with respect to a very specific field of work. It provides a forum for discussion of global issues that go beyond national or regional boundaries, such as cross-border education. Members have the opportunity to learn from what others are doing, both from their successes and failures, and thus have now laid the groundwork for the development of a quality control profession.
INQAAHE’s goal is to promote and foster excellence in higher education through the support of an active international community of quality assurance agencies. To achieve this goal, the network focuses on developing the theory and practice of quality assurance, sharing and understanding the policies and actions of its members, and promoting quality assurance for the benefit of higher education, institutions, students and society at large.
