The Agencia Valenciana de Avaluació i Prospectiva (AVAP) has published the results of the 2022 evaluation for the hiring of professors at Valencian universities. In total, 1007 applications were received for the positions of doctoral assistant, doctoral contract and private university professor. The results, both overall and broken down by program, reveal an overall percentage of 75.4% suitable applicants.
The evaluation carried out by AVAP is fundamental to guarantee the quality and excellence of teaching in Valencian universities. Throughout the process, rigorous and transparent criteria have been followed, with the aim of selecting the most qualified professionals committed to higher education.
In terms of overall data, of the 1007 applications submitted, a total of 759 candidates have been considered suitable to fill the teaching positions. This result represents 75.4% of the total number of applicants evaluated.
In addition to the overall results, AVAP has provided detailed information on the different programs evaluated. In the category of assistant to doctor, 364 applications were submitted, of which 319 were considered suitable, representing a success rate of 87.6%. In the case of the contracted doctoral candidates, 429 applications were received, of which 292 obtained the required qualification, reaching a 68.1% success rate. Finally, in the category of private university professor, 214 applications were submitted, of which 148 were considered suitable, with a success rate of 69.2%.
The publication of these results represents an important step in the process of hiring faculty at Valencian universities. AVAP continues to work to ensure that the faculty selected meet the highest standards of quality and contribute to the development and improvement of higher education in the region.
