Below are the statistics and results relating to the assessment of official university education in the Valencian Community carried out in 2020, through the authorisation, follow up and accreditation programmes.
In accordance with the provisions of article 13 of Order 86/2010, of 15 November, which establishes the procedure for the implementation of official university bachelor’s, master’s and PhDs’ degrees at the universities of the Valencian Community (DOCV no. 6405, of 25 November 2010), AVAP issued an evaluation report on 23 applications for the implementation of new official degree bachelor’s, master’s and PhDs’ degrees for the 2020-21 academic year submitted by Valencian universities.
The universities of the Valencian Community Region submitted a total of 55 degrees for evaluation in 2020:
|UNIVERSITY||NUMBER OF DEGREES|
|UV – EG||1|
In 2021, 37 applications for evaluation are expected to be submitted by all universities.
By virtue of the provisions of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, which establishes the organisation of official university education, in 2020 a total of 109 official university degrees of the universities of the Valencian Community were due for renewal of accreditation.
In 2021, 85 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programmes at Valencian universities will apply for accreditation renewal.
This evaluation process, in addition to an online evaluation by a committee of experts, involves an on-site visit to the corresponding university, where the different groups involved in the degree to be evaluated (teachers, students, graduates, employers…) are interviewed. Given the current situation, since September AVAP has been carrying out the ReAcredita evaluation committees telematically.
