The Director General of AVAP, Javier Oliver, participated in the General Assembly of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) held in Dublin, Ireland, on October 26 and 27. The event, organized in collaboration with Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), took place in the Croke Park Conference Centre, located in Jones’ Rd, Drumcondra, Dublin 3, Ireland, preceded by a social program on October 25.
The main focus of this edition revolved around the crucial topic of recognition, addressing the latest policy developments and strategies for establishing concrete connections between quality assurance and academic recognition. In this framework, the interactive sessions offered participants the valuable opportunity to contribute to ENQA’s message to the Bologna Process, reflect on the development of ENQA’s specific review methodology, and explore the results of the most recent projects carried out by the association.
The ENQA General Assembly, being a space for exchange and collaboration among higher education experts, reaffirmed its commitment to work towards quality standards and recognition that will strengthen university education in Europe and beyond.
The event concluded with a series of resolutions and commitments to continue promoting improvements in quality assurance and reaffirming its commitment to quality assurance.
