AVAP carries out the following university teaching staff evaluation activities:
- The prior assessment of the activity for the recruitment of contracted teaching staff where appropriate.
- Prior assessment of the individual teaching, research and management merits of the teaching staff, linked to the singular and individual allocation of the additional salary complements that are established.
- The evaluation of the research activity of contracted teaching staff at Valencian universities. To this end, a procedure and evaluation criteria are applied that are comparable to those used by the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity of the Ministry of Science and Innovation to evaluate teaching staff belonging to university teaching bodies.
