AVAP’s Teaching Staff Assessment Programme assesses the teaching and research activity of teaching staff prior to their recruitment by the universities of the Valencian Community.

A positive evaluation is a prerequisite for participation in the recruitment processes for the positions of Assistant Lecturer and Contracted Lecturer. In the case of Private University Lecturers, this positive evaluation acts as a merit.

The programme will establish, in each call for applications, the form, deadlines and documentation required to participate in the same. The evaluation may be requested for one or more of the contractual figures foreseen and an application shall be submitted for each one of them.

The deadline for submission of applications is from November 29 to December 28, 2022 (both inclusive).

OTHER FIGURES THAT DO NOT REQUIRE PRIOR ASSESSMENT BY AVAP

  • Associate Lecturers: the contract may be signed with specialists of recognised competence who can accredit that they carry out their professional activity outside the university academic sphere.
  • Visiting Lecturers: the contract may be signed with lecturers or researchers of recognised prestige from other universities and research centres, both Spanish and foreign.
  • Emeritus Professors: the universities, in accordance with their statutes, may appoint Emeritus Professors from among retired professors who have rendered outstanding services to the university.
  • University professors and tenured university lecturers: access to these posts requires prior national accreditation by ANECA, which assesses the merits and competences of the applicants, guaranteeing the quality of the selection of civil servant lecturers.
