The Agència Valenciana d’Avaluació i Prospectiva (AVAP) presents the results of the 2025 call for applications for the position of Contracted Lecturer (Profesor Contratado Doctor – PCD). This information reflects the current status of the evaluation process, which is still pending the resolution of any appeals that may be submitted, and which could lead to adjustments in the final results.
Once again, we would like to express our gratitude for the high level of participation and the trust placed in us by the applicants, as well as for the commitment of the evaluation panels who have worked to ensure a rigorous, transparent, and equitable process.
General results
A total of 404 applications were received in this call, with a slightly higher number of women (226) compared to men (178). Of these, 328 applicants received a positive evaluation, representing more than 81% of the total. Only 74 applicants received a negative evaluation, and there were 2 withdrawals, with no exclusions recorded.
These results reflect a high level of alignment between the applicants’ profiles and the criteria established for accreditation as Contracted Lecturer, contributing to the consolidation of quality in the Valencian university system.
Results by field of knowledge
Below is the breakdown of the results by field of knowledge, which provides an overview of the distribution of applications and outcomes across academic areas. This information is key to identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Arts and Humanities
With a total of 45 applications, this field recorded a 77% success rate, with a notable majority of female applicants.
Sciences
The Sciences field had a smaller number of applications (26), with a majority of male applicants. The success rate was 80.7%.
Health Sciences
With 134 applications, this was the field with the highest volume. A total of 112 positive evaluations were issued, representing an 83.6% success rate. Female representation remained significant.
Life Sciences
This field received 38 applications. The success rate was 86.8%, with a clear majority of women among those evaluated positively.
Legal Sciences
With 24 applications, this field achieved a 71% success rate, with a majority of female applicants.
Social Sciences
A total of 69 applications were received in this field, with 55 positive evaluations, representing a success rate of 79.7%.
Engineering and Architecture
This field showed a clear majority of male applicants. The success rate was 80.9%, demonstrating a strong alignment with the evaluation criteria.
