Javier Oliver, Director General of AVAP, participated in the ENQA 2022 General Assembly, which took place in Stockholm, Sweden, October 26-28.
These three days had the objective of reflecting and debating about the quality of higher education.
Over several days, various approaches were developed and explored to ensure the quality of higher education. In addition, the meeting also discussed the challenges and opportunities of harmonising quality assurance approaches in different parts of the world and the implications of cooperation with Europe.
E-learning was also discussed in depth. The working session was based on a report prepared by ENQA on this topic. The results of the meeting will be incorporated into an ENQA briefing paper to position the original working group report in the new context.
Of note is the related session on the future of the ESG. ESG provide a common foundation for internal and external quality assurance of learning and teaching. In recent years, there have been calls for some revision to allow more room for innovation and flexibility in the application of the common rules.
The last days have been very satisfying for AVAP, as the Valencian Agency for Evaluation and Perspective has been confirmed as a “full member” of the European Association for the Quality of Higher Education.
