AVAP attended the ENQA General Assembly in Saint Julian’s (Malta) on 23-25 October, where the new ENQA Board members were elected and the Vice Presidents were re-elected. The members present also supported the Board’s decision to renew the affiliated status of ACQAHE (Montenegro) and HKCAAVQ (Hong Kong), as well as securing the affiliation EATDA (Azerbaijan) and PAASCU (Philippines).
The conclusions of the working group on quality assurance of research were also presented by Sophie Guillet (Hcéres – France) and Marilena Maniaci (AMBUR – Italy).
The closing session of the assembly addressed the social dimension of higher education, with examples from Ninoslav Schmidt (Executive Director of the Institute for the Development of Education – Croatia) and Esther Huertas (AQU Catalunya – Spain).
The event ended with a speech by the President of ENQA, Douglas Blackstock, in which he called on those present to meet at the ENQA Forum, which will take place in April 2025 in Cyprus.
