AVAP’s General Director, Javier Oliver, participated in the launch of the UPV’s “Emplea 2024” programme, which helps students and graduates to position themselves in organisations.
This innovative project will select 40 participants who will be mentored by leaders in different industries. The programme has demonstrated a positive impact on employability, with a high percentage of participants entering qualified jobs or continuing their training in prestigious institutions.
At the event, UPV Rector José Capilla, together with the 15 mentors who are leaders in their respective fields, presented the challenges that the 40 selected students will face. Among the mentors, there will be figures from companies such as Airbus Helicopters Spain, Alexion, AstraZeneca, BBVA, BP Energía España, Edwards Lifesciences, El Corte Inglés, Fermax, HP, Huawei España, Mercadona IT, MINSAIT (INDRA), NTTDATA, PWC, Santander Corporate and Investment Banking (SCIB) and SIEMENS.
These professionals will guide the participants over the coming months, facilitating their development and preparation for the challenges of the labour market. In addition, the programme has the special participation of the science communicator Marián García, known as Boticaria García, who energised the inaugural event.
Registrations for “Emplea 2024” are open until 8 February, and the selections will be made by the end of the year.
The previous edition of “Emplea” was a resounding success, with almost 75% of the participants entering the job market in high-calibre positions, while the remaining 25% continued their training at renowned business schools and universities.
Javier Oliver’s attendance at this event highlights the importance AVAP attaches to collaborating with educational institutions to foster professional development and employability opportunities among young talent.
