In an outstanding conference organised by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI) and with the collaboration of the “la Caixa” Foundation, renowned experts in the scientific field met to discuss the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in scientific evaluation systems. The event, which took place at the AEI headquarters in Madrid, was the epicentre of an exchange of knowledge and experiences on how new technologies and innovative approaches can be applied to improve efficiency and quality in the evaluation of research projects.
The inauguration was led by Domènec Espriu, director general of the AEI, and Javier Solana, president of the Scientific Committee of the “la Caixa” Foundation, who highlighted the importance of incorporating new technologies and methods in scientific evaluation.
The event, which was well attended both in person and online, was a unique forum for the exchange of strategies and experiences among the different experts. Among them, James Wilsdon from the Research on Research Institute and Carles Sierra, director of the Artificial Intelligence Institute of the CSIC, who shared their knowledge on the application of artificial intelligence in scientific evaluation.
This meeting has laid the groundwork for future improvements in evaluation methods, demonstrating the commitment of the AEI and its partners to innovation and excellence in scientific research.
