AVAP has been actively participating over the last few months in a pioneering study in Spain on the employability of students of the Environmental Sciences degree in which all the universities in Catalonia, Aragon and the Valencian Community that offer this degree are taking part.
During the first months of 2023, more than 700 undergraduate students from 7 universities will be interviewed: from the Valencian Community (University of Valencia, Polytechnic University of Valencia and Miguel Hernández University), Catalonia (University of Barcelona, Autonomous University of Barcelona, University of Girona) and Aragon (University of Zaragoza) who graduated in 2019 and 2020.
This job placement study aims to assess the employment available in this sector, how long it takes to find a job, the quality of employment and the students’ satisfaction with the knowledge and skills acquired during the degree, among other relevant aspects.
The results, which are expected at the end of the year, will help to improve the curricula offered.
AVAP wants this experience to serve as a starting point to advance in the development in the coming years of an Employment Observatory in the Valencian Community coordinated from AVAP with the collaboration of all Valencian universities.
